Introduction : 前言

 

This paper aims at giving a brief ministry description for recruiting a Young Adults Minister (part time) at St. Thomas’, particularly from the perspective and needs of the Cantonese young adults group – Rainbow Fellowship.

這份文件主要是從寶活聖公會聖多馬堂青年團契 – 彩虹團契的需要及團友的角度, 道出對於招聘青年事工牧者( 兼職  )的要求。

1) Rainbow Fellowship Committee
    Members: 8 ; Meeting once a month

    Members: 6 ; Meetings quarter yearly

Regular Activities

Youth Sunday Service (1st Sunday of every month)
Week 1,3 : Sports Day or Activities
Week 2,4,5 : Fellowship/Workshop/Prayer meetings
Indoor Soccer Team - Evening Soccer Match every Sunday

Major Activities in the year Schedule

JAN–APRIL : Outreach to university recruiting new members; welcome activities (e.g. BBQ, beach trips etc)
APRIL: Easter Service + activities
JULY: Camp
SEPT: Fellowship Birthday Party
DEC: Christmas Party

Note

Big turnover of number of people at the Rainbow Fellowship due to overseas students graduating and returning to their countries. Nov – Feb shows very low attendance due to school/uni holiday when students travel back home.

 

Basic Criteria 基本要求

      • Passionate about spreading the Gospel to young adults.  Should be capable of applying a variety of teaching approaches.  Must be able to work patiently with those with no, little or intermediate knowledge/background to Christianity.

      • 熱衷於並以多樣化方式向青年人傳講福音。 能夠耐心地培育與教導對基督教不熟悉的青年人。

      • Have the experience and ability to understand and interact with teenagers/young adults in terms of their needs, interests, thinking, etc.  Must have demonstrated experience in bringing young adults to maturity and understanding of the Christian faith.

      • 對於青年工作有經驗並且明白及熟悉青少年的需要、興趣及思想。 曾有經驗帶領青年人在基督教信仰上追尋及成長。

      • Able to communicate with each member individually and to act as a leader knitting the young adults group together.

      • 能與個別團友作有效溝通並帶領團友建立緊密團契關係。

      • Ability to provide vision/direction for the future of the fellowship group.  A self-starter with strategic thinking in what to target, how to achieve this and who to choose do strategic tasks.

      • 有遠見能帶領彩虹團契未來發展方向。 有獨立能力、策略思考、能有效地推展青年事工。

      • Ability to develop members with spiritual knowledge as well as leadership skills, so that the fellowship will run and grow in spirit and in size.

      • 能培育青年人的領導才能及屬靈知識,使團友的人數與個人靈命不斷增長。

      • Have completed or be near completing a Theological degree/Diploma.

        已完成或即將完成神學文憑或學位課程。

      • Will be required to pass a National Police Check and hold a Victorian Working with Children Check.

      • 必須通過國家警察局檢測並持有維省青少年工作檢測證。

 

Job Description 職責範疇

Under the direction and supervision of the Vicar, to:
在主任牧師的指示及督導下 :

  1. Preach once a month (usually on the first Sunday Young Adults Service)
        每月證道一次(一般在青年主日)

  2. Plan, organize and run regular fellowship workshops

  3.       計劃、安排及主持團契工作坊

  4. Plan and organize other fellowship activities aimed at building and training members in Christian living (e.g. bible studies, sports, yearly camp, birthday parties, seasonal parties, outreaching activities, etc.)
    計劃及安排其他團契活動( 如; 研經、運動、宿營、生日會、節日聚會及外展活動    等 ), 以協助及訓練團友建立基督化生活

  5. Hold Bible study for youth every 2 weeks

  6. 隔周進行查經活動

  7. Reach out to Deakin University (or other targets) for activities to recruit new members

  8. 積極參與Deakin University(或其他目標 )活動以召募新人

  9. Attend a fellowship committee meeting once a month

  10. 每月出席團契職員會會議

  11. Attend monthly Vestry meetings and other meetings as necessary, and submit written reports as required

  12. 出席每月堂議會及其他會議,並在需要時遞交報告

  13. Provide pastoral care to youth (e.g. occasional home visit / phone care / dinner etc.)

  14. 向青年人提供牧養關懷 ( 如 : 家訪/電話聯絡/飯聚 )

  15. Join the fellowship activities occasionally e.g. dinner gatherings, sports, karaoke nights, movie nights, etc.

  16. 按需要參加團契其他活動 如 : 晚膳、運動、卡拉OK夜、電影晚會等。

Though not considered as part of job duties, except when preaching, the Young Adults Minister is expected to be a regular member of the Cantonese congregation at Sunday services.

所有牧養團隊成員均需要出席所牧養堂會的主日崇拜。

 

Remuneration 薪酬

Remuneration will be paid according to the rates set by the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne for clergy and Authorised Stipendiary Lay Ministers. These details can be provided on request.

薪酬將依照墨爾本聖公會教區神職人員及受薪平信徒牧者的薪級指引。 有關的資料可按要求而提供。
